About the role

An exciting opportunity to join the Royal Air Force Museum’s leadership team, working at Board level in a new role as Director of Infrastructure and Operations. The postholder will lead the Museum’s warm welcome for visitors through our brilliant people and fabulous spaces. A key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the Museum’s infrastructure and operations, from capital projects to day-to-day efficiency challenges. Both ambitious and pragmatic, you will develop and deliver our estates strategy while championing an inspiring and safe environment.

The RAF Museum is a National Museum, sharing globally important stories while rooted in our communities. We are delighted that our Midlands site was recently named by Which? as the joint best Museum in the UK, with our London site joint top in the Capital. The RAF Museum is a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity. The role can be based at either of our two public sites in north London and the West Midlands.
