Late Evenings and Late Weekend Library Services Advisors Location : Cirencester, GL7 6JS Salary: Late Evenings Grade 3 – £2,803.20 – £3,933.60 per annum (21,253 – £23,144 FTE), Late Weekends Grade 3 – £3,153.60 – £3,434.40 per annum (£21,253 – £23,144 FTE) Hours: Late Evenings Permanent, part-time (8 hours per week, 30 weeks per year), Late Weekends Fixed term (12 months), part-time (9 hours per week, 30 weeks per year) The Royal Agricultural University RAU has been at the forefront of agricultural education for over 175 years and is globally renowned for its links with industry and courses that are designed to meet the demands of the changing land-based sector. The RAU Library is the central information resource for students and researchers, containing a wealth of knowledge in print and online, and this role plays a crucial part in delivering high quality Library services during extended opening hours. Two roles are currently vacant and open to applications. The Late Evening LSA is a permanent position and is 8 hours per week (Monday Thursday 8pm to 10pm). The Late Weekend LSA is a fixed term position for up to 12 months and is 9 hours per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5pm to 8pm). Both positions are term time only (30 weeks per year). In addition, we will expect you to have great communication skills, be able to build excellent team-working relationships and complete tasks to a high standard. The library can be very busy and we need staff who will respond in a calm and professional manner. The ability to work independently, show initiative and be flexible will also be essential as this role involves lone working (supported by CCTV and on-campus security).
