We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Casual Yard Grooms to join our friendly team at the RAU Equestrian Centre. This is a flexible casual role offering up to 25 hours per week on a rota basis, making it ideal for students looking to gain hands‑on equine experience alongside their studies.
Position Details
- Contract: Casual
- Hours: up to 25 hours per week
- Pay: £12.71 per hour for those aged 21 and over, or £10.85 per hour for those aged 20 and under, plus 12.07% holiday pay.
Responsibilities
- Support the day‑to‑day running of the yard, including horse care, stable management and maintaining high standards across the site.
- Work closely with staff, students and clients as part of a welcoming and professional team.
Qualifications
- Confident horse handling skills.
- A practical and hardworking approach.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous equine experience is essential.
- BHS qualifications or machinery experience would be an advantage. Training can be provided where needed.
