About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the form of a 2 Year fixed-term contract (with the possibility of being extended) for a Facilities Officer to provide support within a busy Facilities department. The successful candidate will be required to support operating departments with a customer focused service, proactively co‑ordinate space requirements and provide a professional level of customer service to staff, visitors, students and the public. You will need to have a good awareness of health and safety and security procedures with previous experience of working in a facilities environment. You will have excellent oral and written communication in English and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email and Internet. The ability to deal with enquiries confidently and work effectively within a team are essential. We are looking for someone who has experience working in an administrative/organisational capacity in an office support environment. Knowledge of space booking and experience of managing a reception desk/area would also be an advantage.
