The Royal Academy of Arts is seeking two experienced Curators to contribute to the development of a world class and wide-ranging exhibition programme in keeping with the exhibition strategy of the Royal Academy. Generating exhibition proposals, seeking collaborative exhibition opportunities and curating temporary exhibitions as specified, this role has a particular focus on Modern and Contemporary art, although there is an expectation to have interest in other areas in line with the breadth of the Academy’s exhibitions.
About You
- Significant curatorial experience within a museum or gallery setting.
- Expertise in Modern and Contemporary art and a strong understanding of art history.
- Excellent research, communication, stakeholder and project management skills.
- Ability to develop exhibitions, build professional networks and engage diverse audiences.
- A collaborative approach, commitment to inclusion and enthusiasm for the Academy’s work are essential to the success of this post.
- Additional language skills are highly desirable, although not essential.
