Roy Braidwood & Sons Transport Ltd are a long-established family business with over 45 years of experience in HGV and commercial vehicle maintenance. We are expanding our workshop operations and are now looking for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our professional team.
The Role
As a Tyre Fitter you will be responsible for fitting, removing and inspecting tyres across HGVs, PSVs and LGVs. You will play a vital part in keeping our vehicles and our customers' vehicles safe and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Fitting and removing tyres on HGV, PSV and LGV wheels.
- Carrying out puncture repairs.
- Using tyre changing equipment provided.
- Inspecting tyres for wear, damage and compliance with DVSA standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Supporting the wider workshop team when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter (HGV/PSV/LGV experience essential).
- Knowledge of tyre safety and health & safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking and flexible attitude.
