Overview
Bar Manager role at Roxy Leisure Ltd – Roxy Ball Room & Roxy Lanes. This role combines operational leadership, drinks development, and team management to deliver a high-energy, guest-focused bar experience.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring speed, quality, and consistency of service.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation behind the bar.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service.
- Manage opening and closing procedures and stock checks.
- Recruit, train, and motivate bartenders, barbacks, and team leaders.
- Deliver training on cocktails, product knowledge, and upselling techniques.
- Resolve guest issues quickly and professionally, ensuring positive experiences.
- Manage stock ordering, storage, and rotation to minimise waste and maximise profitability.
- Conduct regular stocktakes, tracking variances and investigating discrepancies.
- Monitor bar KPIs including GP% (gross profit), stock loss, and revenue per cover.
- Act as the senior manager on duty, taking ownership of the venue’s overall performance during shifts.
