Overview
Roxel UK Kidderminster, England, United Kingdom. This role reports to the Qualaxy Project Manager and is responsible for supporting the roll-out and implementation of Qualaxy to all areas of Roxel UK, plus ongoing process improvements and problem resolution in the Qualaxy System. The role involves engagement with Operational and Quality stakeholders and liaison with the Roxel France Qualaxy Team. The Qualaxy Project Engineer role enables development and enhancement of the MES (Qualaxy) to drive operational excellence.
Essential duties & responsibilities
- User management β create, delete and maintain users and permissions; manage different user profiles to meet business needs.
- Process configuration β assist with new process creation and updates; advise on usability for operations and quality; facilitate discussions with stakeholders where documentation or practice conflicts; configure new processes with production engineers; trial and share new configuration functionality.
- Process validation β advise on validation process; guide validators to understand changes; ensure correct embodiment point for validated changes; monitor validations and chase approvers as required.
- New process introduction β ensure configurations are consistent; review with production engineering; ensure shop trial is completed; complete a dynamic form to transfer paper to Qualaxy attaching the shop trial route card where possible.
- Software version updates β coordinate with IT and software provider for test server updates; trial in test environment; implement live updates if trials are satisfactory; report issues to software provider.
- Interfacing β identify interface opportunities to improve efficiency/quality; scope requirements, liaise with IT, stakeholders and external software companies; test and roll out interfaces.
- Non-Configuration modules β train on Process (WO) dashboard and NCMS modules; act as a point of contact for troubleshooting; raise and manage issues with software provider; perform additional duties as required.
- Maintain SharePoint and ensure it is up to date.
- Health and Safety responsibility for Roxel UK.
- Additional duties as requested by the business.
Essential experience & background
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at level 4 or above (must include Maths & English).
- Desirable: HNC/HND/Degree level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
Experience
- Manufacturing and Engineering background.
- Defence industry manufacturing experience preferable.
Person specification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate at all levels.
- Ideally from an Engineering/Manufacturing background.
- Innovative, highly motivated and able to drive change across the organisation.
- Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
