Roxel is an Anglo-French Company that designs, develops and manufactures a range of solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles. Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France and it has an annual turnover of about £250M and nearly 1000 staff, with 300 in the UK. The UK operations are entirely based at Summerfield, Kidderminster where we now have a requirement for 4 process operatives to work either in Hardware or in the Powder Plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily activities in accordance with plans, and as directed by the Cell Leader or Cell Manager.
- Manufacture, produce, assemble and finish products in accordance with approved methods of manufacture.
- Conduct tasks in line with standards, procedure and manuals, and take personal responsibility to ensure processes are followed.
- Ensure work stations and environment is always in a fit for purpose state, meaning clean, safe and maintained.
- Responsible to ensure their own training is updated and maintained to enable the operative to perform the duties required and requested by the Cell Leader or Manager.
- Flexibility across skills and responsibilities expected in line with business needs.
- Maintain S5 standards within production cell.
- Notify cell leader of any issues with cell-based consumables, record keeping and data accuracy on a daily basis.
- Take an active part in improvement projects as required by the department.
- Involvement in meetings including planning, risks assessments, methods and team briefs.
Requirements:
Experience: Manufacturing Industry experience ideal and subject matter knowledge beneficial.
