Roxbury Treatment Center is currently hiring full-time Intake Counselors to work in our admissions department. Shift available - Overnights are (5) eight-hour shifts per week. Per Diem Staff also needed for all shifts. $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Offered for Full-Time Hires!

Job Role/Responsibilities:

  • The Intake Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers.
  • The Intake Counselor works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.
  • Initiates the referral and admission process by determining appropriate level of care needs in conjunction with the physician/provider.
  • Responsible for initiating and maintaining communication with referral sources.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or another related Human Services field required – OR – Registered Nurse.
  • Experience: 2-3 years in the area of substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
  • License: License is not required unless candidate is a nurse, then active nursing license in the State of Pennsylvania is required.
