INTAKE COUNSELOR (Master\'s Degree OR registered Nurse)

Roxbury Treatment Center is currently hiring several Intake Counselors (Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem) to work the evening shift in our admissions department. Schedule flexibility is offered. $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Offered for Full-Time Hires!

Job Role / Responsibilities

• The Intake Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers.
• The Intake Counselor works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.
• Also initiates the referral and admission process by determining appropriate level of care needs in conjunction with the physician/provider.
• The Intake Counselor is also responsible for initiating and maintaining communication with referral sources.

About Roxbury Treatment Center

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for 40 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA, our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or another related Human Services field required – OR – Registered Nurse.
• Experience: 2-3 years in the area of substance abuse/psychiatric treatment programs, including experience in intake/admissions and managed care preferred.
• License: License is not required unless candidate is a nurse, then active nursing license in the State of Pennsylvania is required.
