We are currently looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie to join us and be a part of the SCHLOSS Roxburghe Kitchen team! This is a permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, working 5 days over 7. You must be available to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
We offer acompetitive salary of £13.91 per hour plus gratuities*and excellent employee benefits.
*Gratuities (tips) are an additional charge added onto services and are paid to all employees on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role. The amount is not guaranteed and is depended on service charge paid.
As aPastry Chef de Partie at SCHLOSS Roxburghe you will be responsible for day-to-day creation, preparation and service of Pastry, ensuring that the highest standards are always maintained to the standards required by the hotel.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Whilst on shift you will work a controlled and smooth kitchen service to deliver quality food and a luxury experience to our guests.
- Create and present seasonal and flavourful desserts.
- You will display passion for the culinary world and inspire and lead the team.
- You will proactively contribute to the Pastry team with new ideas by creating and developing new seasonal dishes for our menus.
- You will ensure that the kitchen consistently excel in the service and product that is delivered.
- Ensure high standard of cleanliness and food safety & hygiene always maintained.
- Work as part of the kitchen team, communicating well with others to always ensure the smooth operation of services.
- Have full awareness of all menu items for the section of the kitchen allocated.
- Maintain a can-do and problem-solving attitude with a fantastic eye for detail and precision.
Your Knowledge & Capabilities:
- You have previous experience as a Commis Chef or CDP minimum 2 years, working as part of a fast-moving, quality driven, culinary team.
- You have a passion for food and delivering high standards for our guests.
- You have a good eye for detail and demonstrate pride in your work.
- You are enthusiastic and have a positive personality with the ability to build genuine and trusting relationships within a team.
