About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody already working within the electrical industry who is looking to take the next step into a field-based sales role. Centred around developing relationships with electrical wholesalers, increasing product awareness, supporting branch teams and growing market presence across the region, this role is less about hard selling and more about becoming the face of the brand within your territory, developing strong relationships with electrical wholesalers and increasing product awareness across the market. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to manage their own territory, build long-term relationships and play a key role in supporting future growth. Most importantly, you will be personable, commercially aware, organised and confident building relationships face-to-face.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with electrical wholesalers at branch, regional and group level
  • Promote the full range of products and services across the wholesale network
  • Increase product visibility, stock profile and sales within distributor branches
  • Identify and secure new stocking opportunities and account growth
  • Deliver agreed sales and activity targets across the territory
  • Conduct regular branch visits throughout London and the South East
  • Deliver product training and sales support to branch managers, counter staff and sales teams
  • Support product launches, promotions and marketing initiatives
  • Ensure products are actively promoted within branches
  • Work alongside branch personnel to identify local contractors, installers and project opportunities
  • Support wholesalers in targeting local projects and sales opportunities
  • Provide product guidance and commercial support where required
  • Develop joint business opportunities with distributor partners
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends and market developments
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, opportunities and market feedback
  • Work closely with internal sales, technical and marketing teams to support business growth

Qualifications

  • Experience within the electrical industry
  • Experience working with electrical wholesalers or distribution networks
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and ability to identify opportunities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Pay range and compensation package

  • Up to £40,000 Basic Salary DOE
  • £6,000 Car Allowance
