We are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic / Driver to join our dedicated maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), including lorries and trailers. Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on HGVs, including lorries and trailers.
- Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical experience to identify issues accurately.
- Perform repairs involving welding, fabrication, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Repair or replace mechanical components such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Carry out electrical repairs and wiring using schematics and electrical knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out in compliance with safety standards.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience as an HGV mechanic or in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance role.
