To act in the professional capacity expected of an experienced pharmacist, accuracy checking at various workstations within the NuPAC facility. Maintaining up to date CPD records and being fully supportive with all internal audits. To actively engage with and support the Production manager, Operations manager, Supervisors, and lead QA Pharmacist. To positively contribute to every team within the NuPAC facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage workloads required of a pharmacist and to be flexible in your approach. Support and actively listen to the lead QA pharmacist with both a production and quality approach providing person-centred care.

  2. Work proactively with all members of the NuPAC team encouraging good clear communication. Maintaining professional honesty, integrity, politeness, and respect within the quality control team while continuously working towards patient safety focused goals.

  3. Engage fully with all internal audits and to manage professional CPD requirements. To include full support of all ACD, NVQ2 and NVQ3 trainee roles.

  4. Help support management requirements, so the pharmacy complies with all GPhC standards (1-9) and other relevant company guidance to provide safe pharmaceutical services where risks are minimised.

  5. Ensure full GPHC compliance with operational guidance, SOPs, competency assessments, near misses and all company policies.

  6. Maximise usage of the company’s automated centralised dispensing solutions and professionally support management of near miss logs.

  7. Ensure all relevant stock control principles and policies are adhered to and pro-actively date check items.

  8. Support and actively listen to the Production Manager to ensure all required actions are completed in a timely fashion and to the required professional standard. To follow line management.

  9. Embed exceptional patient safety, focus and service as a core value within the NuPAC pharmacy facility

  10. Support upper management in managing the performance of the team, provide coaching and development to achieve excellent standards and exceptional customer care.

  11. Work in partnership with Supervisors, ACPT’s, the Production Manager and other Pharmacists providing clear audited communication both during and at cross-over between shifts.
