We are currently looking for an experienced Development Technologist to join the R&D department of a company in Derbyshire.

As a Technologist you will lead/ support projects to develop new and existing textile products.

Responsibilities include

  • Design and run experiments.
  • Apply expertise in colour theory, dyeing techniques, and colourfastness to development company products.
  • Evaluate raw materials for their properties and how they react in processes
  • Support production to implement new and re-developed processes and solve technical problems on the plant.
  • Drive R&D projects from the laboratory through to pilot plant.

Ideal candidates will have

A degree in Chemistry and have experience in the research & development of textiles or materials. You will have experience in dying techniques and ideally colourfastness, along with experience in scale-up and manufacturing.
