We are currently looking for an Organic Development Chemist for a chemical company in Cambridgeshire. As a Development Chemist you will support small scale process development and scale up of fine chemicals.
Responsibilities include:
- Carry out small scale process development of chemicals up to 20l.
- Lead projects in scale-up from laboratory scale through to production.
- Complete all documentation for research development and scale-up projects.
- Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Work with other teams including Research, Production and Quality Control.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A degree/ Masters (MChem, MSc, MSci) or PhD in Chemistry/ Synthetic Organic Chemistry with previous industrial experience working in a process development lab.
- Experience scaling up lab process/ production and distillations up to 20L scale.
The position is working 12 hour day shifts, covering Monday to Saturday.
