We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Rowe Veterinary Referrals on a fixed term contract basis. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to explore referral nursing.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic nurse who is passionate about providing high standards of care, dedicated to patient well-being, and eager to thrive in a dynamic and rewarding work environment.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Rowe Referrals, you’ll work across our referral department, working within our soft tissue, neurology, diagnostic imaging and orthopaedic teams. You will work a mix of theatre, anaesthesia and ward type shifts meaning no day is ever the same and you will be able to develop a wide breath of knowledge.

Rowe Referrals is a long-standing, multidisciplinary practice based in North Bristol, offering expertise in soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neuro-diagnostics, dentistry, and internal medicine. As a hospital offering 24/7 veterinary care, we are equipped with advanced facilities including MRI, CT, various scopes, ultrasonography, an on-site laboratory, and a dedicated team of skilled nurses and support staff.
Work with an advanced team
Our referral department has a highly dedicated team of 5 clinicians, 5 nurses, a dedicated support team as well as an entire department dedicated to ophthalmology. With a strong reputation for excellence, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including an Oertli OS4 phaco/VR machine, endolaser, high-frequency ultrasound, and ERG. Our clinicians are committed to providing the highest level of care for each and every patient.
Working hours
This full-time role working 40 hours per week, over 5 days. Shifts typically run between 8:00 am and 6:00pm with an on-call rota of 1 in 4 (1 weeknight and the weekend) for which you will receive additional overtime pay. Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contract role.
