We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Rowe Vets, Bradley Stoke as a Consulting Nurse on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Rowe Vets, Bradley Stoke is a busy 24-hour hospital based in Bristol, offering a supportive and progressive clinical environment with a varied caseload and experienced multidisciplinary team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an RVN who enjoys client interaction, preventative healthcare, and building long-term relationships with patients and owners. As a dedicated Consulting Nurse, you will play a key role in developing and driving nurse clinics, helping to improve patient care, client education, and nurse utilisation within a busy hospital setting.

This role would suit an RVN who is confident communicating with clients, enjoys autonomy, and is motivated to make a real impact through nurse-led care.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. This is a consulting-focused role where you will lead and develop nurse-led clinics, taking ownership of preventative healthcare, client education, and ongoing patient wellbeing. You will work closely with the wider clinical team to support excellent patient outcomes and ensure clients feel informed, reassured, and supported.

You will be involved in a range of nurse-led consultations, including weight management, senior pet clinics, post-operative checks, follow-up appointments, and chronic condition monitoring. You will also help build strong relationships with clients and their pets, supporting continuity of care within the hospital.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm. There are no weekend or out-of-hours requirements.

General responsibilities include:
  • Run and develop nurse-led clinics, promoting preventative healthcare and patient wellbeing
  • Deliver clear and compassionate client education and support
  • Carry out weight management, senior pet, post-operative and follow-up clinics
  • Work closely with the wider clinical team to support excellent patient outcomes
