We’re building the UK's next generation engineering powerhouse, providing critical technology that strengthens national security and resilience. We specialise in turning advances in sensing, AI, and communications into operational capability for the edge, where connectivity may be degraded or denied. Our work focuses on accelerating the deployment of technology, improving decision‑making for frontline teams, and protecting people and critical assets in demanding environments.
Headquartered in Bristol, Rowden employs around 160 people and operates over 20,000 square feet of engineering and manufacturing facilities. We have a growing international footprint and are one of Europe’s fastest‑growing engineering businesses.
To power our continued growth, we’re looking for a Bid Manager to take ownership of our end‑to‑end bidding process. From pre‑qualification through to contract signature, you’ll play a pivotal role in securing the opportunities that matter, ensuring every submission reflects our strengths, differentiators, and commitment to end‑users. As part of our continued growth, you’ll get exposure to various customer groups across Defence, Emergency Response and National Security.
The role is not a traditional Bid Manager role. It requires someone who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments, willing to contribute in areas beyond just bid management. You’ll need to navigate complex procurement landscapes, drive internal collaboration, and apply relentless focus to improving how we bid, ensuring we continue to grow, learn, and deliver impact.
While this role offers hybrid working options, it requires a minimum of 3 days per week on‑site at our Bristol HQ. Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance.
