Rowde Church of England Primary Academy is looking for a dedicated and inspiring Class Teacher to join its dedicated team on a full-time basis, starting September 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher looking to join a thriving school which is committed to the academic progress and emotional wellbeing of each individual child. QTS is essential for the role.

We are a welcoming and caring school, educating children between the ages of 4 and 11 years. Located in the charming village of Rowde, Wiltshire, we have close links with the local parish (who are actively involved in school life) and wider community. Our staff are committed to helping children develop into happy young people with enquiring minds, a spirit of curiosity, love and respect for themselves, others and the environment. Everything we do in school is rooted in our Christian vision and associated values: Respect, Optimism, Wisdom, Determination, Enthusiasm and Love. We are part of the Acorn Education Trust, which provides exciting opportunities to collaborate and improve local education, and were rated ‘Good’ in all areas during our recent Ofsted inspection.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can plan and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure real learning takes place and students make superior progress;
  • Is able to raise attainment and challenge students to achieve their best;
  • Has a commitment to extra-curricular activities;
  • Is aware of current initiatives in primary education;
  • Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to the work in our school and our curriculum;
  • Is creative and energetic with a good sense of humour;
  • Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;
  • Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;
  • A desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.
