The Governors of Rowan Tree Primary School are wishing to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Level 1 Lunchtime Assistant who has experience of working with children with additional needs. We are looking for someone who:

Key responsibilities and expectations

  • Is passionate about helping children with special educational needs.
  • Is able to support children with SEN.
  • Is able to support with a range of additional needs in line with school practices and policies e.g. behaviour management personal care, promoting life skills, developing play skills.
  • Will join in with school life and the wider school community.

Additional information

Ideally any prospective applicant would be able to visit school during a lunchtime duty session to experience the duties carried out by lunchtime assistants and observe the care and nurture of our pupils. Visits can be arranged via the School Business Manager. To arrange a visit please call 01942 883928. School is committed to safeguarding and would remind applicants that if they are shortlisted they will need to complete a staff suitability declaration form prior to interview and that: It is an offence to apply for a role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. Rowan Tree Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils. Successful candidates will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check and be required to sign themselves up to the DBS update service as an ongoing requirement of employment.

Salary

Salary: Grade 2, £5,517 – £5,604 per annum. £12.65 – £12.85 per hour, 3 x 10 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year.
