We are seeking a passionate and experienced Safeguarding Manager (Maternity Cover) to take strategic responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across our school.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Proven experience in safeguarding or child protection within education or social care
- Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead safeguarding across the school

This role is a full-time maternity cover position, working 52 weeks per year. The duration of the contract will be linked to the period of maternity leave. We would be looking for the successful candidate to be available from mid‑September 2026 to allow for a handover to take place. Travel between our sites may be necessary on a frequent basis. We welcome visits to the school prior to application.

All applicants should hold or be willing to undergo a DBS Enhanced Disclosure. Appointments will also be subject to confirmation of right to work, satisfactory health clearance, satisfactory references from previous employers, in addition to other clearance checks. In addition, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, we are also required to carry out online searches for all successfully shortlisted candidates.
