We are a Spanish pharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, manufacturing and marketing of small molecules and biological medical products.

We likewise use our sales channels to market a number of licensed pharmaceutical products, imaging contrast agents and other products for hospital use, as well as OTC pharmaceuticals.

All of this is carried out through our specialized sales team formed by more than 260 people who promote the products with specialized medical professionals and in hospitals and pharmacies.

ROVI Biotech Limited UK founded in 2014 is the UK affiliate of Laboratorios Farmacéuticos ROVI, S.A. (www.rovi.es and www.rovi.uk ) a public global Spanish pharmaceutical company, whose activities comprise the development, manufacture and marketing of pharmaceutical products.

ROVI is a key player in the UK heparin market, including low molecular weight heparin and heparin sodium, with a strong presence through NHS tenders across several major NHS Trusts.

ROVI is looking for a highly motivated, hard-working, and customer focused individual to lead the commercial presence of ROVI’s heparin franchise (enoxaparin, and heparin sodium). The Commercial Lead is expected to drive growth in both in the NHS through tenders and the private sector.

This position will offer candidates strong opportunities for professional growth and development as it will not be limited to purely commercial tasks. The role will involve interaction with other company departments such as Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply chain among other, providing a broader and deeper understanding of how the company operates.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Commercial Responsibilities (differentiated by the two main channels)

a) NHS interaction

  • Interaction with the Medicines Procurement and Supply Chain (MPSC) stakeholders responsible for publishing tenders / frameworks.
  • Identification of tenders at UK level (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland)
  • Preparation and submission of bids and related tender documentation
  • Engagement with key stakeholders across NHS Trusts (hospital pharmacists, procurement committees, scientific committees, etc.)
  • Reporting activities in the CRM system

b) Private sector:

  • Identification of new accounts
  • Outreach and relationship building with potential clients
  • Client visits and presentation of commercial proposals

2. Operational Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with our warehouse and wholesalers to ensure proper supply of our medicines
  • Close coordination with the sales force effectiveness team to share market insights impacting product forecasting
  • Interaction with DHSC and Rovi’s Finance Department to prepare and submit VPAG (Voluntary Scheme for Branded Medicines Pricing, Access and Growth) reports

3. Coordination

  • Acting as the local point of contact responsible for coordinating communication flows between Headquarters and UK-based consultants/vendors supporting areas such as Quality, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, and Tender Management

PROFILE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB POSITION

  • Pharmacy or Science related qualifications are mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven experience interacting with Medicines Procurement and Supply Chain (MPSC) stakeholders responsible for NHS tenders and frameworks.
  • Good understanding of the UK pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement and tender process.
  • Solid understanding of how a business operates and financial planning

Skills/Competence:

  • Excellent networking and communications skills are a must, both verbal and written
  • Capable of working on own initiative
  • English language (written and spoken) to an excellent standard
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • High customer services standards
