A Wishaw based, fully licensed asbestos removal company is looking to recruit a Trainee Asbestos Removal Operative during this busy time. The successful candidate will be offered a full-time permanent contract working Monday – Thursday: 8am – 4:30pm and Friday – 8am – 3:30pm. Overtime is available if and when required. Weekend work will also be required but only if and when necessary. Starting rate is £13.00 per hour. Earnings potential once trained is very good.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You will be required to carry out the specialist removal of asbestos containing materials under current Health and Safety Executive and SEPA Regulations.
- The nature of the work requires you to travel and work at various sites and locations as determined by the needs of the business.
- Due to the nature of the work, all operatives are required to wear the necessary PPE and RPE (i.e. half and full-face masks).
- Full asbestos training, respiratory certification and an asbestos medical will be carried out for all operatives.

- Prior knowledge of the construction/demolition industry
