Start time is between 4am and 6am, so candidates must ensure they can get to the factory on time. Monday to Friday, roughly 8 and a half hour shifts, we only operate one shift so itβs a job on finish, all roles are the same. The week before our holiday/closures, we pull shifts forward one day, Sunday to Thursday, and we always return from Christmas break on 3rd of January, so there are around 6 Sundays per year that staff may be required to work. Set holidays, previously booked holidays will be honoured and given as unpaid leave as their holiday entitlement is used up during our closures. Holidays: 1 week in April, 2 weeks in July, 1 week in October and 7 to 10 days at Christmas depending on when Christmas lands. Possibility holidays may change in future, but these are how they will be for now.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor bakery machinery such as mixers, ovens, proofers, slicers, and packaging equipment
- Set up machines according to production schedules and recipes
- Ensure consistent product quality, weight, and appearance
- Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major faults
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations at all times
- Meet daily production targets efficiently and safely
- Work collaboratively with production and quality control teams
