Job Title : Trainee Field Technician
Company Profile
A Bellshill based laboratory involved with the preparation and testing of soils, rock and aggregate samples within the laboratory for the construction industry as well as carrying out a wide range of in-situ testing for projects throughout Scotland are looking to recruit Trainee Field Technicians. Full time position, Monday to Friday 0730 to 1700 (40 hours per week). Real Living Wage or greater will be paid dependent on experience. Overtime available and encouraged during busy periods and premium rate paid out with standard hours. Experience not essential as full training will be given. Full PPE supplied by company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carrying out a variety of tasks/tests on site (after full training).
- Movement of (sometimes heavy) samples from sample stores/around work area/on site.
- Completing records accurately.
- Liaising with clients and team leader on daily basis.
- Willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Comfortable working in a soils lab environment involving dirty/dusty environment and samples
- Good communication skills
- Willing to work away from home on occasion if required
- Driver License
- Computer literacy (basic skills)
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- CSCS Card
