Company Profile: A licensed waste management company based in Airdrie, are looking to add a Recycling Operative to their busy team. The company specialises in uplifting specific waste types then recycling them into products for future use.
Hours of work are Monday‑Friday 7am – 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break. Hourly rate for the role is £13.45.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Unloading dry waste from vans, which is mainly cardboard, polythene, UPVC windows, radiators, and boilers.
- Loading the company vans with material to go jobs.
- Assisting the driver to load the van with material to bring back to our site to segregate.
- De-brass valves from radiators that come in on a daily basis.
- Keep the yard tidy, brush up and keep work areas clear and safe for segregating into tipping skips.
- Learning other aspects of the job, i.e. stripping heating systems and recycling all material.
- Uplifting ferrous and non-ferrous, responsibly segregating and recycling material at our Recycling centre in Airdrie.
Full training will be provided.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills, reliable, able to work as part of a team, committed, motivated.
- Driving licence (helpful but not essential).
Other Info: Will be required to commit to training in order to meet Health & Safety Requirements of the role.
