Job Overview

Independent East Kilbride based company which repairs, services, and sells portable air compressors and inspects pressure vessels are looking to expand their team through the addition of a Sales Consultant.

This opportunity would suit someone with a sales background in a similar field or a background in mechanical or electrical engineering to take the next step in their technical sales career.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks

  • Managing the company’s website and social media platforms.
  • Visiting tradeshows and networking events.
  • Handling customer enquiries over phone and email, delivering a high standard of service.
  • Preparing accurate and timely quotations.
  • Contributing to profitable sales across the full product range, including upselling.
  • Building strong customer relationships and providing detailed product/service information.
  • Supporting continuous improvement through collaboration with colleagues/management.
  • Keeping on top of supplier price changes and negotiating where needed.
  • Carrying out additional duties to support the team as required.

  • Relevant experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
