Job Overview: Support services have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Service Manager to join their team in their North Lanarkshire Service. Our client is a leading Health and Social Care provider within Lanarkshire, delivering residential and community support to a first-class standard. They are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to assist the Service Manager in leading the community care teams through an exciting period of change, through innovative practice and high-quality service delivery. You will enable and promote positive and productive team environments and cultures for all staff. You will lead and develop the community care employees to successfully deliver service outcomes whilst maintaining operational quality and continuous improvement of services.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning and delivery of support services to clients within the community.
  • Ensure services are tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of clients.
  • Implement and evaluate care plans.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns or feedback.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to support workers/Team Leaders, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Conduct supervisions, probationary and performance reviews, appraisals, absence meetings, investigations and formal meetings and offer ongoing support where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and Care Inspectorate standards.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and their families.
  • Take the lead on the business strategy with an emphasis on improving and growing.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  • A relevant qualification in health and social care management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Managerial experience within domiciliary care setting.
  • Experience of managing self-directed care packages.
  • Proven track record in growing a domiciliary care service.
  • Experience of relevant Care Inspectorate regulations and legislation.

Qualifications/Tickets/Licences Required: This post is subject to a PVG and 2 satisfactory references.
