If you're running a service well and the ceiling is starting to show — read this. You've done the job. You've passed the inspections, held the registration, kept the team together and hit the KPIs. But the patch is too small for what you can do, and there's nowhere obvious to go from where you're sitting. This is the next seat up.
The role:
- You’ll be the CQC Registered Manager for an established homecare service covering Greater Manchester and Tameside — multiple commissioners, a wide geographic patch and real volume behind it.
- You’ll own the registration, the contracts, the budget, the commissioner relationships and the culture.
- It's a bigger remit than a single-site Registered Manager role.
The scaffolding behind you:
This isn’t a leap into the dark. Centralised HR, payroll, recruitment, quality and training teams sit behind you. You’re here to lead the service, not firefight every admin issue. The support structure exists so you can spend your time on the things that actually need a Registered Manager's judgement.
You’re probably already doing most of this:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care
- A track record managing commissioned or local authority homecare contracts
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
- Commercial awareness — comfort owning budgets and service performance
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
If most of those describe you and you’ve been ready to move up for a while, we’d like to talk.
What’s in it for you:
- Up to £65,000 depending on experience
- Performance bonus
- £5,000 joining bonus on successful completion of your 6-month probationary period*
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday off
- Buy and sell holiday scheme
- Pension and Employee Assistance Programme
- A clear regional leadership platform with scope to grow further inside the group
Routes Healthcare — part of your journey. Apply now.
*Joining bonus terms: A £5,000 joining bonus is payable upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. Full terms will be confirmed at offer stage.
