This is a full-time role working just 35 hours per week. The £24,079 annual salary is equivalent to £13.23 per hour, or approximately £27,519 based on a standard 40-hour working week.

The role

As a Music Content Moderator at RouteNote, you'll review music releases submitted by independent artists and record labels before they are distributed to major streaming platforms.

You'll check digital music releases for quality, accuracy and compliance, including artwork, audio, metadata and intellectual property requirements.

Your work will help ensure music reaches streaming platforms quickly while protecting artists, rights holders and RouteNote from copyright and content issues.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing new music releases and digital content
  • Checking release metadata for accuracy
  • Reviewing artwork and other release assets
  • Identifying potential copyright and intellectual property issues
  • Ensuring releases comply with RouteNote and music industry standards
  • Carrying out content quality control
  • Working efficiently towards individual and team targets
  • Collaborating with other moderation and operations teams

Who we're looking for

You don't need to be a music industry expert to apply.

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working through a structured workload while maintaining strong attention to detail.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Confidence using computers and online tools
  • The ability to work accurately while meeting targets
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team

Nice to have – but not essential

  • Quality control or content review experience
  • Music industry knowledge
  • An interest in music and digital streaming
  • Knowledge of copyright or intellectual property
