Are you the person we’re looking for? Working in the Warehouse Division means working closely with all people both internally and externally, being responsible for all aspects of the warehouse including goods in, put away, picking and despatch. We are looking for someone with initiative, determination, keen eye for detail, high level of accuracy and self‑motivation who enjoys dealing with people to resolve their issues identified and understands the nature of working within a team.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for receiving, checking, and booking in of goods from suppliers, branches and customer returns, reporting any discrepancies as appropriate.
- Assisting with Rockwell ASN printing, printing the notification and corresponding delivery notes, highlighting the items and manually booking them in, when required.
- Correct allocation and safe storage of goods in the warehouse.
- Pick product as directed and ensure items are picked to the expected standard required for the despatch team.
- Checking and assembly of goods for despatch.
- Ensure products are suitably packed for onwards transport to survive the journey.
- Stock checking of goods both on a ‘perpetual stock count basis’.
- Meet the MK Logistics KPI’s for rates/hr and accuracy whilst escalating areas of concern and improvement to line management.
- Undertake general housekeeping to ensure the warehouse is clean and tidy.
- Create and maintain relationships so you need to enjoy dealing with people and be confident that you can make a good impression.
- Take charge of your personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with Routeco’s core competencies and learning and development framework.
What do you need to bring to Routeco?
- Experience of working within a similar warehouse environment is important.
- The role holder will have the ability to provide practical solutions and follow up on enquiries.
- It is important to have a working knowledge of Microsoft office and be able to understand data entry system used.
- A good level of education is required, particularly in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- A good understanding of the importance of the customer receiving a good experience when dealing with the company and knowing how the role holder can influence this.
- The role holder should be capable of communicating improvement ideas to company management.
- Role holder should be flexible to the needs of the company to ensure maximum efficiency of Logistics function is achieved, and that the customer experience is positive.
- Forklift truck license is preferable, counterbalance and VNA licence would be advantageous.
