What you’ll be doing:- Provide polite, professional first-line IT support to colleagues, logging and updating incidents and service requests through the Service Desk system.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, Microsoft 365, network, telephony and access-related issues, escalating more complex matters when required.
- Assist with setting up, configuring and issuing IT equipment for new starters, movers and existing users.
- Support routine user administration tasks, including password resets, account checks and access queries in line with IT procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow cyber security and IT policies, and actively take part in apprenticeship learning and development activities.
- A genuine interest in IT and technology, with curiosity and enthusiasm to learn through a Level 3 apprenticeship programme.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to listen carefully, ask questions and provide helpful support to internal customers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions, procedures and security requirements accurately.
- A team-focused approach, with reliability, professionalism and a willingness to take feedback and develop confidence.
- GCSE English and Maths, or willingness to work towards the required functional skills standard where applicable.
