Are you the person we are looking for? An opportunity has arisen for an inspiring, self‑driven person who can work with the regional sales team, making sure work is carried out in a safe and timely manner. We are looking for someone with a drive for business development, entrepreneurial initiative, willingness to develop and be self‑motivated who enjoys working as part of a team to manage workloads on a daily basis in line with team resource and customer required delivery dates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build, develop and maintain strong relationships across your account base.
  • Build strong relationships with key colleagues at Rockwell, be the interface into our End‑User program.
  • Utilise CRM in line with business expectations.
  • Provide accurate reports in line with manager expectations.
  • Promote the complete range of products and services across all areas of Routeco’s preferred partners.
  • Effective targeting of small to medium end‑users with specific (but not limited to) focus on Site standardisation and specification.
  • Promotion of the benefits of digitalisation.
  • Risk mitigation via Obsolescence Migration.
  • Networking, Cyber Security, Data Analytics.
  • Promotion of Robotic / Cobot / Vision solutions.
  • Infrastructure and security upgrades.
  • Operating software solutions – Data collection, historians and Analytical.
  • Rockwell services (IBE, Training, ISA, Repairs).
  • Promoting Routeco’s End‑User strategy across customer base.
  • New business generation in new trading accounts.
  • Measurement of the end‑user consultant will be based around the following: Revenue direct and via the supply chain, Revenue of Rockwell IBE, ISA, Repairs, Training, Rockwell Engineering, Revenue of Routeco Services and SI’s (direct or through eco‑system), Project funnel (not necessarily direct spend), Scoping out of the “Eco System”, SI’s, OEM’s etc – sharing this across the business to maximise our opportunity to win additional business.
  • Personal competency, and the competency of the End‑User Team – both in Rockwell and other agreed partners’ products and services.
  • Annual Recurring Revenue Solutions.
  • Understand Routeco team members strengths and utilise correct resource in each account.
  • To ensure a strong relationship and communication line with the RSL’s, OEM team, Service centre Managers.
  • Build a healthy opportunities funnel.
  • Communicate and interface with branches and departments on commercial issues with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure Regional Sales Leaders, Account Managers and Service Centre Managers are up to date with targets and progress.
  • Lead by example demonstrating a proactive attitude to continuous personal development at all times.
  • Ensure that growth and development of the End‑User strategy is achieved in line with the organisations mission and values.
  • Promote the full capability of Routeco to key customers at all times.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.
  • Take responsibility for sales and profitability of own set of accounts.
  • Be accountable for personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with Routeco’s core competencies and learning and development framework.
  • Takes on additional tasks in order to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives.
  • Compliance with H&S policy and procedures.

What do you need to bring to Routeco?

  • Ideally the candidate will have experience solution selling in the B2B space.
  • Experience in managing a sales territory.
  • Technical interests, specialist skills and experience are important for long term success.

Skills

  • A good standard of education is required, particularly in Maths & English.
  • Self‑discipline and self‑motivation.
  • Ideally the role holder will be qualified to at least ONC level in Electrical Engineering.
  • The job requires the ability to finish projects and take tasks through to their natural conclusion.
  • Good day to day planning skills are essential for satisfactory performance.
  • Knowledge of Automation and Control products.
  • The ability to form friendly and trusting relationships will play an important part of the role.
