We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Operative to assist with the fit-out of a new furniture shop. The role involves supporting furniture assembly and installation, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with furniture assembly, placement, and installation
- Prepare site, unload deliveries, and move stock
- Carry out general labouring duties (lifting, carrying, securing items)
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Support safe use and care of tools
- Follow health and safety procedures, including PPE use
- Work collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines
- Assist with stock control and deliveries
Skills & Experience:
- Previous fit-out, labouring, or installation experience desirable but not essential
- Physically fit with good manual handling ability
- Team player with good attention to detail
- Basic tool knowledge advantageous
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Flexible with working hours
Personal Attributes:
- Reliable, hardworking, positive attitude, good communicator, and able to work under pressure.
Working Conditions:
- 3 x days from 08:00 (overtime may be required)
- Site-based retail environment
- Safety boots and hi-vis required (not provided)
