Responsibilities:
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
- Communicate with staff and customers professionally and courteously
- Effectively discuss customer parts status
- Read and understand parts catalogs for accurate lookup and communication
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and share information with customers
- Review body shop estimates to verify correct parts and pricing
- Provide high-level service to internal and external customers
- Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining weekly stock checks for accuracy
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock items or urgent shop needs
- Locate out-of-stock parts externally and place emergency orders if needed
- Ensure internal parts requests are billed on service repair orders
- Receive payments from retail customers or obtain credit authorization
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior auto parts sales experience preferred
- Desire to improve in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
