We are currently recruiting for a temp to perm Stores Operative to join a busy production environment. This role is essential in ensuring materials, stock, and deliveries are managed efficiently to support production and site operations. The position involves goods in/out, stock control, and organising materials, along with some manual handling and movement of items.
Hours: 6am to 2pm (must be flexible to change due to business requirements)
Pay: £12.71 + shift allowance
Key Categories of the Role:
- Receive incoming goods and complete the relevant paperwork in line with company procedures.
- Ensuring all required components are available and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
- Distribute materials to the appropriate areas across the site as required.
- Pick items requested from the shop floor and deliver them to the correct departments.
- Monitor line-side stock levels and advise Material Control when items need to be reordered.
- Carry out and assist with stock checks and inventory counts when required.
- Complete dispatch documentation and organise shipments to ensure orders are sent out on time.
- Manage inventory by ensuring materials are clearly labelled and stored in the correct locations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment.
- Perform other warehouse or stores-related duties as required or instructed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a stores, warehouse, or stock control environment is essential.
- Strong organisational abilities with good attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, with experience using stock or inventory systems being an advantage.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A forklift licence is required.
- Full, clean driving licence.
