Route 1 are currently working with a leading chilled food and drinks 3PL distributor in Middleton. Due to growth and securing new contracts, we are now looking to grow our driving team, with both temporary and permanent roles available for HGV Class 1 Drivers.
All HGV Class 1 work is trunking to RDC\'s with no handballing. Fixed shift patterns are available on guaranteed rotas. This is ongoing, long-term work with temp to perm opportunities for C&E drivers. The work is clean, with a new fleet of vehicles.
We offer a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with days and nights available (6am - 6pm starts), all block-booked weekly with long-term opportunities. Other shift patterns are also available.
What We Offer:
- Day Rate: £18.15 per hour
- Night Rate: £19.27 per hour
- Saturday Rate: £20.39 per hour
- Sunday Rate: £21.51 per hour
- Earning potential over £1,000 per week (all pay quoted is inclusive of holiday pay, but PAYE options are available)
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely drive HGV Class 1 vehicles and complete deliveries within specified time frames.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Complete daily checklists and paperwork as required.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience (essential).
- A valid HGV C&E Class 1 license with no more than 6 points.
- A strong focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
