This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced event sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding commercial targets to join our iconic creative organisation. You’ll have the chance to utilise your skills, creating a high‑performing timeline and building a strong industry network, allowing you to convert ambitious ideas into measurable growth and make a lasting impact.

The Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will drive significant commercial revenue growth through venue hire at the Roundhouse. Leading targeted business development activity, you will deliver the agreed annual sales target and maximise all income‑generating opportunities, developing and executing a strategic sales plan that increases forecasted venue hire over the coming years. You will position the Roundhouse as a unique experiential venue, manage prospective client site visits, negotiate and close venue hire agreements, optimise event packages and pricing, and work in partnership with internal teams to manage diary planning and maximise main space income. Alongside new business generation, you will build and nurture high‑value clients and industry relationships, oversee consistent contract management, and ensure positive conversion and recurring business rates.

  • Maintain accurate sales records and CRM data
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Design and implement targeted sector marketing strategies

About You

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in event sales with proven success in achieving and exceeding commercial targets
  • Experience in outbound sales, lead generation, and converting high‑value opportunities into long‑term partnerships
  • Experience of negotiation and closing of high‑level contracts
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience reporting and presenting sales performance data
  • Experience of Google Suite, Yesplan, Monday.com or similar
  • The ability to develop high‑performing commercial pipelines that drive revenue growth across diverse and profitable event sectors
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and proposal‑writing skills

The successful candidate must have a current and acceptable DBS check or be willing to undertake one due to the nature of the role.
