The Role
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance carpentry across university buildings
  • Install and repair doors, ironmongery, access control and fire-release mechanisms
  • Fit kitchen units, worktops and internal joinery as required
  • Support heritage-listed building works and small improvement projects
  • Provide estimates, material lists and technical input to the wider team
  • Join the estates on-call rota (approx. 1 in 4-5 weekends) with paid allowance + overtime
You’ll Need
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Carpentry / Joinery (essential)
  • Skilled in building fabric repairs, fixings, door sets and internal carpentry
  • Competent using woodworking machinery and hand tools
  • Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently on a large estate
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing to join on-call rota
