This role would suit a skilled joiner or cabinet maker who understands high-quality workshop production, can read drawings, support junior staff and wants to move into a leadership position within a growing company looking for its future managers and directors.
The Role:
- Support the day-to-day running of a bespoke joinery workshop
- Assist with production planning, job scheduling and workshop workflow
- Supervise joiners, apprentices, machinists and subcontractors
- Maintain high standards across bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture
- Read and interpret technical drawings and production information
- Receive full training in workshop management and production leadership
- Progress into a fully qualified Workshop Manager role
The Person:
- Joiner, Cabinet Maker, Bench Joiner, Workshop Supervisor or similar
- Background in bespoke joinery, cabinetry, fitted furniture, kitchens or furniture manufacturing
- Strong hands-on understanding of cabinet making or joinery production
- Able to read technical drawings or production drawings
- Looking to step off the tools and move into workshop management
- Organised, proactive and keen to develop leadership skills
- Experience mentoring apprentices or supporting junior staff
