The Role:

  • Producing detailed timber frame design drawings ready for manufacture
  • Taking ownership of timber frame design projects from initial brief through to production
  • Interpreting client requirements, architectural drawings and project specifications
  • Creating and amending technical drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and internal production teams
  • Ensuring drawings meet relevant specifications, standards and safety requirements

The Person:

  • Timber Frame Designer, Timber Frame Technician, Architectural Technician or similar
  • Experience designing timber frame structures
  • Confident using AutoCAD; SketchUp experience beneficial
  • Able to read and interpret architectural, engineering or construction drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and logical problem‑solving ability
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and internal teams
