Are you a General Builder / Maintenance Technician or similar looking for a stable, University Campus based role with 39 days holiday, lots of Overtime opportunities and access to gain trade qualifications which will also boost earnings? This Maintenance Technician role suits a General Builder or Multi-Trade Operative with a background in brickwork, drainage, roofing, external works or similar looking for a permanent, in-house position with steady hours and consistent workload.

This Maintenance Technician position is based on a large university estate, carrying out a wide range of building repairs across live campus buildings, roads, pathways, drainage systems and building fabric.

The Role

  • Road, pathway and paving repairs
  • Brickwork, blockwork and small concrete repairs
  • Drainage repairs, unblocking and minor excavation work
  • Roofing, guttering, lead flashing and chimney repairs
  • Door repairs, ironmongery, shelving, signage and general carpentry
  • Basic plumbing repairs to sanitary ware, toilets, sinks and pipework
  • Installing wooden or concrete ramps and handrails
  • General building fabric repairs across occupied campus buildings
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
