The role involves:
- Planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and diagnostics.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and site services.
- Responding to machinery breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
- Working on press brakes, laser cutting machinery, CNC/production equipment, fabrication machinery and electrical assembly equipment.
- Supporting machine moves, installations, equipment modifications and commissioning.
This role suits a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer from a manufacturing, production or industrial background who can work independently on machinery breakdowns, PPMs, fault finding and reliability improvements. There is also clear scope for progression as the company continues to digitalise and improve its manufacturing processes.
Key requirements include:
- Multi-Skilled Engineer with a manufacturing, production or industrial maintenance background.
- Able to maintain, fault-find and repair production machinery.
- Strong diagnostic ability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Comfortable working with production teams to reduce downtime and improve machinery reliability.
- Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent in electro-mechanical engineering, maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar.
- Open to mechanical or electrical bias, provided there is genuine hands-on multi-skilled ability.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday only, 9.75 hours per day, with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off every week. This is a site-based role with no mobile travel, offering a varied production machinery experience in a manufacturing environment.
