Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer role offering a 4-day week, varied production machinery with full training and progression as the business continues to digitalise its manufacturing operations.
This is a site-based role within a manufacturing / production environment, focused on keeping production machinery and factory infrastructure running safely and reliably. The role involves planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and diagnostics.
This role suits a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer from a manufacturing, production or industrial background who can work independently on machinery breakdowns, PPMs, fault finding and reliability improvements.
The Role:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and site services
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise production downtime
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
- Work on press brakes, laser cutting machinery, CNC / production equipment, fabrication machinery and electrical assembly equipment
- Support machine moves, installations, equipment modifications and commissioning
- Monday to Thursday only, 9.75 hours per day
The Person:
- Multi-Skilled Engineer
- Manufacturing, production or industrial maintenance background
- Able to maintain, fault-find and repair production machinery
- Strong diagnostic ability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Able to carry out PPMs and reactive breakdown repairs independently
- Comfortable working with production teams to reduce downtime and improve machinery reliability
- Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent in electro-mechanical engineering, maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar
- Open to mechanical or electrical bias, provided there is genuine hands-on multi-skilled ability
