A Maintenance Engineer role offering a 4-day week, varied production machinery with full training and progression as the business continues to digitalise its manufacturing operations. This is a site-based role within a manufacturing/production environment, focused on keeping production machinery and factory infrastructure running safely and reliably.

The role involves planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns and diagnostics. This role suits a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer from a manufacturing, production or industrial background who can work independently on machinery breakdowns, PPMs, fault finding and reliability improvements. There is also clear scope for progression as the company continues to digitalise and improve its manufacturing processes.

The Role:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and site services
  • Respond to machinery breakdowns and minimise production downtime
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
  • Work on press brakes, laser cutting machinery, CNC/production equipment, fabrication machinery and electrical assembly equipment
  • Support machine moves, installations, equipment modifications and commissioning
  • Monday to Thursday only, 9.75 hours per day

The Person:

  • Multi-Skilled Engineer
  • Manufacturing, production or industrial maintenance background
  • Able to maintain, fault-find and repair production machinery
  • Strong diagnostic ability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Able to carry out PPMs and reactive breakdown repairs independently
  • Comfortable working with production teams to reduce downtime and improve machinery reliability
  • Relevant engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship or equivalent in electro-mechanical engineering, maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar
  • Open to mechanical or electrical bias, provided there is genuine hands-on multi-skilled ability
