This Maintenance Technician role suits a General Builder or Multi-Trade Operative with a background in brickwork, drainage, roofing, external works, or similar, looking for a permanent, in-house position with steady hours and a consistent workload.
This Maintenance Technician position is based on a large university estate, carrying out a wide range of building repairs across live campus buildings, roads, pathways, drainage systems, and building fabric.
The Role:
- Road, pathway, and paving repairs
- Brickwork, blockwork, and small concrete repairs
- Drainage repairs, unblocking, and minor excavation work
- Roofing, guttering, lead flashing, and chimney repairs
- Door repairs, ironmongery, shelving, signage, and general carpentry
- Basic plumbing repairs to sanitary ware, toilets, sinks, and pipework
- Installing wooden or concrete ramps and handrails
- General building fabric repairs across occupied campus buildings
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Logging work, risk assessments, and updates via CAFM system
Hours: Overtime available.
