Are you a CNC Programmer from a Precision Engineering background or similar, looking to programme Aerospace and Defence components for a growing Specialist Manufacturer offering progression into Management?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected precision engineering business with advanced multi-axis machining capability and the backing of an international FTSE-listed manufacturing group. You'll take ownership of new components from customer drawing and 3D model through programming, process development, prove-out and production.

The business continues to invest heavily in its manufacturing capability, including the introduction of VERICUT, creating an excellent opportunity if you have VERICUT experience, as you will be able to champion and influence the company from the beginning.

The Role:

  • Create offline CNC programs from customer drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Program, set and prove complex components on 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centres
  • Work with Mazak Integrex mill-turn machines using Mazak, Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
  • Develop manufacturing process plans, routings, tooling and setup documentation
  • Design fixtures and produce supporting 2D drawings and 3D models
  • Improve existing programs and machining methods to reduce cycle times and improve quality

The Person:

  • CNC Programming experience within precision engineering
  • Able to programme and prove complex multi-axis components
  • CAD/CAM programming experience
  • Experience machining tight tolerance components
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • Background in Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, Marine, Oil & Gas or another high-precision manufacturing environment
  • Mazak Integrex or mill-turn experience advantageous
  • VERICUT knowledge beneficial but not essential
  • Apprentice trained or engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
  • Right to work in the UK
