This role would suit a skilled joiner or cabinet maker who understands high-quality workshop production, can read drawings, support junior staff and wants to move into a leadership position within a growing company looking for its future managers and directors.

The Role:

  • Support the day-to-day running of a bespoke joinery workshop
  • Assist with production planning, job scheduling and workshop workflow
  • Supervise joiners, apprentices, machinists and subcontractors
  • Maintain high standards across bespoke kitchens and fitted furniture
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and production information
  • Receive full training in workshop management and production leadership
  • Progress into a fully qualified Workshop Manager role

The Person:

  • Joiner, Cabinet Maker, Bench Joiner, Workshop Supervisor or similar
  • Background in bespoke joinery, cabinetry, fitted furniture, kitchens or furniture manufacturing
  • Strong hands-on understanding of cabinet making or joinery production
  • Able to read technical drawings or production drawings
  • Looking to step off the tools and move into workshop management
  • Organised, proactive and keen to develop leadership skills
  • Experience mentoring apprentices or supporting junior staff
